Job summary

MCE Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project & Process Engineer to liaise with multiple departments, ensuring on-time delivery for NPI and ECN while guiding production teams on technical issues. The role drives process improvements across manufacturing operations and collaborates on DFM decisions.

Ideal candidates will have an engineering diploma (mechanical or mechatronics), 5+ years in metal fabrication, and proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Office and EPICOR.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma (Mechanical or Mechatronics) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years experience in Metal Fabrication or similar.
• Experience with Optic Laser Cutting, Press Brake and secondary processes.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Microsoft Office and EPICOR.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with departments to achieve 100% on-time delivery for NPI and ECN.
• Guide production team on NPI/ECN and resolve technical issues.
• Attend discussions with customer and internal teams on DFM (Design for Manufacturability).
• Manage risks in prototyping and implement cost-reduction programs.
• Develop, implement and optimise manufacturing processes.
• Monitor daily quality and efficiency in assigned areas.
• Reduce scrap by analyzing data and taking corrective actions.
• Analyze workforce utilization and equipment effectiveness.

Project & Process Engineer responsible for liaising with different departments to achieve on-time delivery for NPI and ECN, guiding production teams on technical issues, and developing process improvements across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

Liaise with different departments to achieve 100% on-time delivery for NPI and ECN

Guide Production team on NPI, ECN and resolve any technical issues

Attend discussion with customer and internal on DFM (Design of Manufacturability)

Risk Management on prototyping feasible

Implement continuous improvements and cost reduction programs

Develop, implement and optimize the process

Monitor and continuously improve daily quality/efficiency performance for assigned areas

Reduce manual assembly scrap by monitoring quality data and taking corrective action

Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment

About you

Must possess at least Engineering Diploma (Mechanical or Mechatronics) or equivalent

At least 5 years in Metal Fabrication or similar experience

Experience and knowledgeable with Optic Laser Cutting, Press Brake and Secondary processes

Good analytical and project management skills

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)

Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Microsoft Office & EPICOR system

Ability to work independently with high level of motivation and communication at all levels

Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts

Problem solving, negotiation and communication skills and able to work under pressure

Possess valid driving license with own transport and willing to travel overseas if required
