Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Engineer to oversee daily manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, resolve issues, and uphold product quality and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of AutoCAD are advantageous; Bahasa Malaysia and English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in process manufacturing industries preferred (Paper/Packaging/Chemical/FMCG/Food & Beverage/Automotive).
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets.
• Monitor production performance and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment reliability and downtime reduction.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to improve operations.
• Prepare production reports, SOPs, and operational documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators.
• Support Lean manufacturing practices like 5S and Kaizen.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.

We are looking for a motivated Production Engineer to oversee daily manufacturing operations, improve production efficiency, and ensure product quality and safety standards are achieved. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets.
• Monitor production performance and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Investigate production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to improve operational performance.
• Prepare production reports, SOPs, and operational documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to production operators.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Industrial, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in process manufacturing industries such as Paper, Packaging, Chemical, FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Automotive is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Familiarity with production KPIs such as OEE, downtime analysis, yield, and productivity metrics.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is an added advantage.
