This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our manufacturing operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality products. As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity and reduce costs. This role is instrumental in maintaining our competitive edge in the manufacturing industry and supporting the company's strategic objectives for operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimisation
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve production bottlenecks
• Prepare and maintain detailed production reports, including performance metrics and analysis
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across all production activities
• Participate in the design and testing of new manufacturing processes and equipment
• Conduct training sessions for production staff on new procedures and best practices
• Coordinate with supply chain and planning teams to ensure material availability and production scheduling
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
• Maintain accurate documentation of production data and standard operating procedures

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production engineering role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and scheduling methodologies
• Proficiency with production management software and data analysis tools
• Demonstrated experience with process optimisation, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within manufacturing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software is preferred
• Experience with inventory management and supply chain coordination is advantageous
