KLK OLEO is seeking a Production Engineer to monitor daily operations, optimize processes and lead root cause analysis for continuous improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Malaysia. You will drive productivity, energy efficiency and quality while coordinating with engineering and support teams to ensure compliance and reliable equipment.

Monitor daily production performance and maximize plant utilization to achieve production, quality and cost targets.
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes to improve plant reliability, product yield, energy efficiency, waste generation and product quality as well as identify opportunities for process optimization and performance improvement.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for process deviations, quality issues and plant upsets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) to improve productivity, reduce operating costs, minimize losses and enhance operational excellence.
Optimize storage tank utilization, waste reduction and coordinate product movements to ensure efficient inventory management.
Work closely with engineering team and other supporting departments to achieve high equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, environmental regulations, safety standards and quality systems including ISO 9001 and etc.
Lead, coach and develop production personnel through training, competency development and performance monitoring.
Promote a strong safety culture, good manufacturing practices and high housekeeping standards throughout the production area.
Support any trial of new feedstock introductions, process modifications and plant improvement projects.
Share best practices and standardize operating procedures across production operations shift.
Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of production operations, process optimization and troubleshooting.
Experience in oleochemical, edible oil, palm oil refining or specialty chemical manufacturing will be a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and implement effective process improvements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and develop production teams.
High level of ownership, accountability and sense of urgency in achieving production targets.
Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond to production issues outside normal working hours when required.
