The Production Engineer will plan, direct, and optimize manufacturing processes to maximize uptime, reduce scrap, and ensure quality targets are met safely, on time, and within budget. The role focuses on monitoring daily output, coordinating maintenance, and driving Lean improvements across furnaces, lines, and galvanizing steps, to sustain competitiveness in SEA

Qualifications

• Collaborate with QC on coating and wrapping tests.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance for furnaces and lines.
• Analyze machine breakdowns using root-cause analysis.
• Manage spare parts for drawing dies and electrodes.
• Enforce DOSH/JKKP regulations for heavy machinery safety.
• Maintain safety protocols around acid and zinc baths.
• Ensure PPE usage across the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot surface defects like zinc sagging or brittleness

History

Incorporated in 1994, with a paid-up capital of RM18 million, Chin Herr Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd. is poised to stand to the forefront of the local and international iron wire manufacturing market.

During 1995, Chin Herr started expanding and producing a monthly capacity of 1,500 metric tons of Galvanised Iron Wire at which the company scored a high increase of up to 2,500 metric tons by the following year. By 1997, the company’s capacity doubled to 5,000 metric tons per month capturing the increasingly competitive market within the nation’s medium sized iron wire manufacturing industry. Yet the expansion continue, by end of year 2009, another production line will be completely installed, and the output capacity will be increased tremendously from 4,500 metric tons to 7,000 metric tons. Chin Herr acquired SIRIM-MS ISO 9002: 1994 in July 1998, by then updated to ISO 9001 : 2000 in year 2001 and by then updated to ISO 9001 : 2008 in year 2009, setting excellence and commitment in quality to assert and spearhead the demand to become a leader in Malaysia’s fast expanding iron wire manufacturing industry. In 2003 Chin Herr is wholly acquired by Chin Well Holdings Bhd., a main board public listed company in Malaysia KLSE.
