Job summary

Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily operations, align with production schedules, and maximize line throughput. You will lead a shift team, drive lean practices, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with QA/QC to maintain IMS standards while minimizing downtime.

The role requires a technical engineering degree and 2–4 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, with strong leadership and communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of supervisory or executive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and safety.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; able to communicate with a diverse workforce.
• Willing to work in Alor Gajah / Rembia, Melaka with shift rotations/overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and maximize throughput.
• Monitor machine performance and output quality; identify bottlenecks and reduce scrap.
• Lead, train, and supervise technicians and operators; promote discipline and accountability on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with QA/QC to ensure IMS standards and troubleshoot deviations.
• Enforce workplace safety, HIRADC, and SOPs for a safe environment.
• Coordinate with engineering/maintenance to schedule servicing and resolve breakdowns promptly.
• Track daily output, scrap rate, and OEE; prepare operational reports for management review.

Job description

Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, maximize machinery throughput, and ensure optimal manpower allocation across shifts.

Monitor machine performance and output quality. Identify bottlenecks, minimize scrap/material wastage, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead, train, and supervise technicians and general operators. Foster a culture of discipline, high productivity, and accountability on the shop floor.

Partner with the QA/QC team to maintain strict adherence to IMS standards. Ensure all products meet technical specifications and handle troubleshooting for any process deviations.

Enforceworkplacesafetyregulations,HIRADC,andstandardoperatingprocedures(SOPs)tomaintainasafe,hazard-freeplantenvironment.

Workwiththeengineeringandmaintenanceteamstoscheduleroutineservicingandresolveequipmentbreakdownspromptly.

Trackdailyproductionoutput,scraprates,andOverallEquipmentEffectiveness(OEE);prepareaccurateoperationalreportsformanagementreview.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.

Minimum 2–4 years of supervisory or executive experience in a manufacturing environment (experience with continuous manufacturing or heavy machinery operations is highly advantageous).

Strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, and safety regulations.

Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; the ability to communicate with a diverse workforce is essential.

Willing to work in Alor Gajah / Rembia, Melaka and flexible to support shift rotations or overtime when necessary to meet peak production demands.
