Job summary

Pantech Stainless & Alloy Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Engineer to drive process optimization and ensure reliable manufacturing operations at our Pasir Gudang facility. The role focuses on optimizing processes, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and driving continuous improvement across production lines.

You will analyze data, monitor quality, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least a certificate, or diploma and above in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment & chemical.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software (e.g., CAD/CAM).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and spoken Mandarin (advantage) and English skills.

Job description

• Process Optimization: Continuously analyse and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks. Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs to ensure profitability.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives to improve manufacturing processes and productivity.
• Conducted various analytical tests and titrations to monitor and optimize acid concentration in the pickling process.
• Performed water quality analysis for IETS and RO systems, Forming Machine including Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) monitoring and photometric testing using a photometer.
• Recorded, analyzed, and maintained process and quality data in Microsoft Excel for performance tracking and reporting.

Requirements

• At least a certificate, or diploma and above in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment & chemical.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software (e.g., CAD/CAM)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong in communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Have strong written and spoken Mandarin (will be added advantage as it will require interaction with the counterpart from China) and English skills. A
