Job summary

Angsana Tunas Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Engineer to monitor manufacturing progress, analyze data, and drive improvements across SOPs, control plans, and process optimization. You will lead cycle-time reduction, scrap control, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure on-time delivery.

Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to reduce defects, maintain records, and produce KPI reports for management review. Mandarin proficiency is required for stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant production/manufacturing experience.
• Experience in production planning, process improvement and troubleshooting.
• Mandarin language proficiency for communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production progress, work-in-process status, and output to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret production data; prepare reports and improvement proposals.
• Develop and implement SOPs, work instructions, and control plans.
• Lead in process optimization, cycle time reduction, scrap reduction and continuous improvement.
• Participate in new process or product introduction and production ramp-up.
• Maintain manufacturing records and production documentation per policy.
• Prepare and distribute production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to reduce defects and enhance product performance.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma initiatives; ensure 5S and safe workplace.
• Supervise production staff and coordinate with multiple departments.

Job description

About you

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant production/manufacturing experience

Experience in production planning, process improvement and troubleshooting

Good understanding of production processes and quality requirements

Able to lead and supervise production staff

Mandarin language proficiency is required for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders

Good problem-solving and communication skills

Able to work independently and under pressure

Willing to work overtime when required
