- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) programs for production machinery and equipment.
- Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system failures.
- Ensure machine breakdowns are responded to promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Improve machine reliability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Identify recurring equipment issues and propose engineering solutions.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, modifications, or replacement when necessary.
- Participate in new machine installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
- Develop and update preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor PM completion rates and machine performance.
- Maintain maintenance records and equipment history.
- Monitor critical spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate purchasing of maintenance materials and spare parts.
- Ensure adequate stock levels while controlling maintenance costs.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major machine failures.
- Participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Continuous Improvement activities.
- Improve maintenance procedures and equipment efficiency.
- Reduce maintenance costs without compromising reliability.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with company safety policies.
- Ensure machinery complies with local safety regulations.
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or other management systems as applicable.
- Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, and inspection records.
- Prepare monthly maintenance performance reports.
- Update machine manuals, SOPs, and maintenance procedures.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing departments.
- Support production during equipment commissioning and process improvements.
- Coordinate with external contractors and machine suppliers when required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in sheet metal, stamping, machining, fabrication, or assembly manufacturing is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting ability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production demands.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
