Job summary

SG Laser Tech (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Production Engineer to support day-to-day manufacturing, operate and set up machines for production runs, and ensure smooth daily output. You will collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams on NPI to move products from first article to mass production, and drive process improvements to boost quality and efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and familiarity with CAD tools; prior metal fabrication

Qualifications

• Understand how to operate and setup machines for daily production
• Support NPI from first article build to mass production
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to ensure production continuity
• Coordinate across production departments to meet delivery schedules

Responsibilities

• Assist production on process improvement to enhance quality and efficiency
• Maintain production documents daily and ensure operators follow work instructions
• Review and update process work instructions to meet customer requirements and industry standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to production team
• Perform other duties as assigned

1) Understand of operate machine and set up for operator to run daily production job

2) Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from first article build to mass production build

3) Collaborate with production team , engineering team and quality team to ensure continuous of production

4) Coordinate across each production department to meet delivery schedule plan

5) Assist production on process improvement , enhance product quality , and optimize manufacturing performance

6) Maintain production document daily and ensure operator follow process work instruction

7) Review and update process work instruction to meet customer requirement and industry standard

8) Provide technical guidance and mentoring to production team

9) Any others duties as assigned

Key Skills and Qualification :

1) Proficiency in Microsoft Word , Excel , PowerPoint, and understand of CAD software will be advantage (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

2) Understand of metal fabrication principles and related manufacturing processes.

3) Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

4) Good problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues.
