Qualifications

Procurement Senior Executive (Manufacturing)

Supports the Manager in managing the daily operations of the Procurement Department, ensuring all procurement activities align with the company’s objectives. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, procuring materials, equipment, services & custom related matters to support for the company operation. This role ensures timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies. Additionally, the role takes the lead in material sourcing initiatives and project development activities, contributing to cost optimization, supplier development, and overall business profitability.

Responsibilities

1. Planning & Operational Execution

Assist in implementing an efficient and systematic purchasing procedure in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.

Ensure material ordering aligns with material planning and production requirements.

Identify and source potential new suppliers to drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring supplier reliability and material supply consistency.

Monitor and coordinate timely material shipment and delivery to meet production schedules.

Issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services where the terms and conditions align with agreed quotations.

Monitor inventory levels & collaborate with internal departments (e.g. production, warehouse, engineering) to forecast purchasing needs.

Maintain accurate purchasing records and update supplier information in the system.

Track & resolve delivery, quality or invoice discrepancies with suppliers.

Liaise with vendors to obtain material specifications, MSDS/SDS, RoHS reports, REACH compliance, and other customer-required documentation.

Coordinate and follow up with suppliers on material rejections, corrective actions, and quality issues.

Track and evaluate supplier delivery and quality performance, ensuring adherence to set targets.

Lead project development activities for new equipment or machinery purchases, including shipment coordination to company premises.

Oversee material sourcing activities for new projects, ensuring compliance with test standards, customer requirements, and performance specifications.

Evaluate material sourcing for cost-effectiveness, availability, and quality.

Arrange sample materials and manage shipment logistics as needed.

Drive innovation by introducing technology-driven processes to optimize manufacturing costs.

Engage in continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives by identifying competitive, high-quality suppliers.

Work on material Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE) to enhance sourcing effectiveness.

Provide technical support to internal departments when required.

Register and create new material codes & new vendor registration in the ERP system.

Perform other tasks as assigned.

2. Data Analysis & Reporting

Track and update daily material deliveries, ensuring adherence to supplier commitments and expediting as needed.

Analyze daily purchase orders and monthly purchase variances to optimize procurement strategies.

Monitor and update RoHS, REACH reports, and ESH guidelines monthly or as required.

Prepare project development progress reports, detailing milestones and supplier performance.

Conduct price and specification comparisons for new equipment, machinery, and materials.

Perform cost impact analysis and track cost-saving initiatives.

Maintain monthly reports on material cost savings and procurement efficiency.

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience in related field is required for this position

Preferably specializing in Purchasing/ Logistic/ Supply Chain Management & Inventory

Experience in Microsoft Office & ERP system will be an advantage.

Ability to multitask, work under pressure & meet deadlines

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Proven experience in logistics and shipment arrangement.
