Job summary

LK GLOBAL ENGINEERING SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Executive to source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for construction materials and services. A diploma or higher in SCM or related field with 1–3 years in procurement is preferred, and Mandarin communication is a plus.

You will process purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, maintain supplier relationships, compare prices and quality, and coordinate with project, engineering, and finance teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in SCM/Engineering/Construction or related field.
• 1–3 years procurement experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Proficient in Mandarin or able to communicate with clients in Mandarin.
• Familiar with construction materials, suppliers, and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for construction materials and services.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with project requirements and company policies.
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely supply of materials to project sites.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Compare prices, quality, and specifications to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, and finance teams on procurement matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
