Job summary

LIFE WATER INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. invites applications for a procurement specialist based in Sandakan or Kota Kinabalu.

You will oversee procurement activities, prepare orders for raw materials, spare parts, and services, and support management with supplier reviews. The role requires Mandarin fluency, a Diploma in SCM or related field, 2–4 years of procurement experience, and strong SAP and Excel skills. You will liaise with suppliers, analyze costs, and ensure timely invoice processing,

Qualifications

• Mandarin fluency required for liaising with Mandarin-speaking vendors and reviewing overseas contracts.
• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 2–4 years in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing; candidates with strong experience but a foundational diploma are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and supervising procurement department activities
• Preparing order for the purchase of raw material, spare parts, equipment, service and supplies
• Reviewing, comparing and analyzing products and services to be purchased before sending to management for final approval
• Reviewing inventories ROL to maintain accurate purchase
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating pricing
• Research and evaluating prospective suppliers
• Compile and checking of invoices before passing to accounts
• Preparing monthly cost analysis report

Requirements

• Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is a must (to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking vendors, review overseas contracts, and handle technical sourcing documentation).
• Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or any related discipline.
• 2–4 years of a proven track record in a procurement, purchasing, or sourcing role (candidates with strong experience but a foundational diploma are highly encouraged to apply).
• Proficient with ERP systems (SAP) and a wizard with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong cross-cultural communication skills with a natural ability to influence and strike a great deal.
