Job summary

Century Bond Berhad is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing of goods and services, ensure alignment with price, quality, and delivery timelines, and support cost-saving initiatives across the organization.

The role involves overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, vendor registration and compliance, exemptions processes, and PO issuance, with strong emphasis on policy adherence and budget control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field.
• 2–3 years of procurement/supply chain experience (fresh graduates encouraged).
• Good understanding of procurement processes, policies and compliance.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and procurement software/ERP systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Manage the purchasing of goods and services required by the company in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
• Ensure that all procurement activities meet company requirements in terms of price, quality, and delivery timeline.
• Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers who provide quality products and services.
• Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end procurement process to ensure compliance with company policies and budget control.
• Handle procurement-related tasks, including:
  1. Purchase Requisition (PR) acknowledgement
  2. Vendor registration and compliance verification
  3. Application for exemptions (C1 & C3)
  4. Vendor evaluation and performance review
  5. Purchase Order (PO) issuance
  6. Compilation and safekeeping of vendor compliance documents and records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant working experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain. (Fresh graduate are also encouraged)
• Good understanding of procurement processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and procurement software/ERP systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
