KCJ Engineering in Malaysia is seeking a proactive procurement professional to support day-to-day purchasing for company and projects. You will issue RFQs, source suppliers, compare quotations and prepare purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
You will coordinate with project, engineering, site and finance teams, maintain records, negotiate terms, monitor supplier performance and help prepare procurement reports.
Assist in managing day-to-day procurement activities for company and project requirements.
Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to suppliers and subcontractors.
Source and identify suitable suppliers based on price, quality, availability and project requirements.
Obtain, compare and evaluate quotations to ensure competitive pricing and suitable terms.
Prepare Purchase Orders (PO), purchase requisitions and other procurement-related documents.
Follow up with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, order status and outstanding items.
Coordinate with project, engineering, site and finance teams to ensure procurement requirements are fulfilled on time.
Maintain proper records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, delivery orders and procurement documents.
Assist in negotiating prices, payment terms and delivery arrangements with suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery and compliance with agreed requirements.
Assist in resolving procurement issues such as delayed deliveries, incorrect items or discrepancies.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, project requirements and approved budgets.
Support the preparation of procurement reports and cost comparisons for management review.
Perform other procurement-related duties assigned by management.

Diploma / Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of relevant procurement experience are encouraged to apply.
Basic knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing, quotation evaluation and purchase orders.
Experience in construction, engineering, building maintenance or project procurement is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Good negotiation, communication and coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail and good numerical and analytical skills.
Well-organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
Able to communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to learn and adapt to procurement requirements in a project-based environment.
