The client, a manufacturing company specialising in electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, seeks a seasoned Procurement Lead to manage end-to-end procurement and order fulfilment. You will lead supplier sourcing, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings while ensuring material availability across Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Production and Sales.
Candidates should have 4–6 years in procurement, strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder skills, and experience with ERP
Our client is a manufacturing company specialising in electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, including wire harness, box build, panel assembly and system integration.
Responsible for the end-to-end procurement and order fulfilment process, including but not limited to the following:
Lead and manage all procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing while supporting business operations.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve procurement policies, processes, and strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Source, evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery performance, service level, and reliability.
Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement corrective actions to improve supplier performance and ensure continuous supply.
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost savings and maximize value for the company.
Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procurement authority.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply, competitive pricing, and effective issue resolution.
Liaise closely with internal departments including Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Production, and Sales to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely material availability.
Monitor supplier delivery schedules and proactively resolve supply chain disruptions to minimize operational impact.
Manage supplier quality issues and coordinate material specification changes with relevant stakeholders.
Conduct market research and identify alternative suppliers to reduce procurement risks and improve sourcing competitiveness.
Analyze procurement data, spending trends, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support inventory optimization initiatives by balancing stock availability with inventory carrying costs.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior procurement executives to ensure best procurement practices are followed.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and strategic sourcing initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and business performance.
Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, or related disciplines.
Minimum 4–6 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, industrial automation industry.
Strong experience in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, strategic procurement, and vendor management.
Proven ability to negotiate pricing and commercial terms while achieving cost savings.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc. will be an added advantage).
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform under pressure.
Leadership experience or experience mentoring junior team members will be an added advantage.
