Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Manager to strengthen procurement and supply chain by improving supplier management, cost efficiency, and inventory control. You will support production and business operations with compliant, timely sourcing.

The role requires 5–8 years in purchasing within manufacturing, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Excel. It is an on-site position based in Johor, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, and supplier management.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the General Manager.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain and purchasing operations, including procurement, supplier management, and inventory control.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure material availability aligns with operational and business needs.
• Track, analyze, and report supply chain and procurement performance metrics such as lead time, cost efficiency, and delivery accuracy.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.
• Lead and support supply chain and purchasing projects, including process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, coach, and guide the supply chain and purchasing team to achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, and supplier management

• Experience in sourcing, evaluating, and developing suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
