Job summary

Menta Construction Sdn Bhd is looking for a Procurement Executive to join our on-site team in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective procurement that supports timely project delivery.

This position requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement or related field and 2–3 years of relevant experience. You will manage supplier relationships, monitor deliveries, and maintain accurate records to optimise costs and

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment and industry standards is preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges

Responsibilities

• Generating purchase orders to suppliers
• Evaluate quality and fair pricing for purchases
• Monitor delivery against purchase orders and delivery orders
• Negotiate competitive prices with suppliers
• Continuously source alternative products per 4Ps (Price, Product, Place, Promotion)
• Organize proper filing and easier tracking
• Coordinate with workshop on machine delivery and site machinery mobilization
• Audit petrol card and toll expanses
• Monitor supplier performance in quality and delivery
• Issue debit/credit notes to suppliers and subcontractors and update records
• Prepare monthly reports of purchase orders and debit notes
• Ensure project sites have valid Surat Kuasa from KPDN for diesel storage
• Maintain up-to-date records of reusable equipment for project sites
• Perform any other duties as instructed by management

Procurement Executive

Menta Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Procurement Executive to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position based on-site where you will play a vital role in managing the procurement and supply chain operations for our construction projects. As a Procurement Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes that support the timely delivery of our projects. This role is strategically important to our operations, directly impacting project timelines, budget management, and overall organisational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Generating purchase order to supplier

Able to evaluate quality and fair pricing for purchases

To monitor (including updating relevant records) the delivery of goods and match quality and quantity with purchase order and delivery orders

Negotiate most competitive price or best offers from suppliers that bring maximum benefit to company

Continuous sourcing of alternative products other than new parts but also the used parts by 4Ps guideline (Price, Product, Place and Promotion)

Organize proper filing & easier tracking

Coordinate with workshop on machine delivery, site machinery mobilization, machine location record

Audit Petrol card expanses and toll expanses

Monitor supplier performance in term of quality and delivery

Issue Debit/Credit Note to supplier and Subcontractors and thereafter update all relevent records

To prepare a monthly report of all the purchase orders and debit notes issued, cancelled purchase orders and cancelled debit notes

To ensure that all project sites have been issued with valid "Surat Kuasa" from KPDN for storage of diesel

To maintain an up to date record including the place of storage of all times that can be reused (example: walkie-talkie, camera, stations) for the project sites

Any other duties/tasks as instructed by the Management

What we’re looking for
