Nasty Cookie Sdn Bhd is seeking a procurement professional to evaluate and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and services in Malaysia. You will negotiate costs, issue POs, and coordinate with Warehouse and Production to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Source, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, and services.
Obtain quotations, compare pricing, negotiate costs, and recommend suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with Company procedures.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Warehouse and Production to ensure sufficient inventory.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
Verify supplier invoices, delivery orders, and purchase documentation before submission to Finance.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, pricing, and product quality.
Resolve purchasing issues, shortages, damaged goods, and supplier disputes.
Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, quotations, and purchasing reports.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising product quality.
Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers and alternative materials.
Ensure procurement activities comply with Company policies and internal controls.
Coordinate and maintain the Company's Halal Management System (HAS).
Ensure compliance with all requirements issued by the relevant Halal certification authority.
Maintain all Halal-related records, documents, and supporting evidence.
Prepare documentation for Halal application, renewal, surveillance, and audits.
Liaise with Halal authorities, consultants, and external auditors.
Ensure all raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and suppliers possess valid Halal certification where applicable.
Monitor the expiry dates of Halal certificates and initiate timely renewals.
Conduct internal Halal inspections and compliance checks.
Coordinate Halal Committee meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
Assist in investigating and resolving Halal non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Ensure proper segregation of Halal materials and products throughout receiving, storage, production, and distribution.
Conduct Halal awareness training for employees.
Keep updated with the latest Halal regulations, standards, and certification requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement and Halal documentation for audit purposes.
Ensure proper filing and record retention in accordance with Company requirements.
Prepare monthly procurement and Halal reports for Management.
Support internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Finance, and R&D to ensure operational efficiency.
Support new product development by sourcing suitable raw materials and suppliers.
Assist in cost analysis and budgeting for procurement activities.
Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Food Science, Halal Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
Experience in Halal documentation and certification processes will be an added advantage.
Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may be considered.
Good knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
Understanding of Halal certification requirements and food manufacturing practices.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, or other food safety standards is an advantage.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience using ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
