Nasty Cookie Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor, is seeking a Senior Procurement Executive to independently manage day-to-day procurement from sourcing to delivery.
You will handle supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchasing, and documentation, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
This hands-on role requires halal compliance, cross-functional coordination with QA/QC, Production, Finance, and Management, and a focus on cost efficiency.
The Senior Procurement Executive is responsible for managing and executing the company’s day-to-day procurement activities independently, covering supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchasing, supplier coordination, delivery follow-up, and procurement documentation.
This is a hands‑on role requiring the candidate to manage procurement requirements from A–Z, ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, food ingredients, packaging materials, and other required supplies.
Handle end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, food ingredients, packaging materials, and other company requirements.
Source and identify suitable and reliable suppliers based on price, quality, lead time, capacity, and reliability.
Request and compare supplier quotations and prepare quotation comparisons for approval.
Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, MOQ, payment terms, lead time, and delivery schedules.
Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and related procurement documents.
Monitor stock levels, safety stock, and purchasing requirements to ensure sufficient materials are available for production.
Coordinate with Production and Warehouse regarding material requirements, stock availability, and delivery schedules.
Follow up closely with suppliers on order confirmation, delivery status, delays, shortages, and urgent requirements.
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, pricing, delivery, and responsiveness.
Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing options to minimise supply disruptions and procurement risks.
Conduct price comparison and cost analysis and support cost‑saving initiatives.
Maintain accurate and updated supplier information, pricing records, PO records, and procurement documentation.
Coordinate with QA/QC and Halal to ensure purchased materials and suppliers meet the required standards.
Assist in resolving procurement issues such as material shortages, supplier delays, price increases, quality issues, and delivery problems.
Prepare regular procurement reports, purchasing updates, and supplier performance reports for Management.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, approval requirements, halal requirements, and applicable regulations.
Perform any other procurement‑related duties assigned by Management.
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
Food Manufacturing / FMCG experience is highly preferred.
Previous experience at Senior Executive level in Procurement or Purchasing.
Experience in purchasing food ingredients, raw materials, and packaging materials is highly advantageous.
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
Halal Executive Certificate is highly preferred, particularly for candidates with experience in food manufacturing and halal‑certified products.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing documentation.
Good negotiation, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Hands‑on, proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple procurement requirements simultaneously.
Able to work closely with Production, Warehouse, QA/QC, R&D, Finance, Halal, and Management.
Male's candidates are preferred.
Willing to work in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
MONDAY TO FRIDAY : 9.00 AM TO 6.00 PM
This is a hands‑on individual contributor role with no direct reports. The successful candidate must be able to independently manage the company’s day‑to‑day procurement activities from sourcing until delivery, while ensuring materials are available on time, at the required quality, and at competitive cost.
