Novolyte Technologies in Kedah, Malaysia, is seeking a procurement professional to develop annual plans, source equipment and materials, and drive cost-reduction initiatives for a new chemical manufacturing plant. This role offers hands-on exposure to plant setup and operational procurement.
You will manage supplier onboarding, contracts, SAP POs, and ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost targets, with opportunities for career growth in a fast-growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop annual procurement plans and cost-reduction initiatives, and execute implementation plans to achieve business and project targets.
Manage sourcing for equipment, materials, and services through bidding, quotation, and single-source procurement where applicable. Conduct cost analysis and ensure sourcing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements in terms of quality, delivery, and cost. Support framework agreements and contract execution.
Handle end-to-end procurement processes including SAP purchase orders, delivery and warehousing follow-up, invoice tracking, and payment documentation, ensuring timely and quality delivery of equipment and materials.
Manage supplier onboarding and exit, supplier classification, daily coordination, performance evaluation, and supplier development to ensure stable and effective supply resources.
Establish and maintain contract management systems including contract templates, creation and approval, change management, document control, and contract tracking to support company development.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of procurement or supply chain experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Hands-on experience in purchasing equipment, materials, and administrative supplies is an advantage.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
