Job summary

KCJ Engineering in Malaysia is seeking a proactive procurement professional to support day-to-day purchasing for company and projects. You will issue RFQs, source suppliers, compare quotations and prepare purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

You will coordinate with project, engineering, site and finance teams, maintain records, negotiate terms, monitor supplier performance and help prepare procurement reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, logistics or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of relevant procurement experience encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Good negotiation, communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day procurement activities for company and project requirements.
• Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Source and identify suitable suppliers based on price, quality, availability and project requirements.
• Obtain, compare and evaluate quotations for competitive pricing and suitable terms.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and purchase requisitions and other procurement documents.
• Follow up with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, order status and outstanding items.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, site and finance teams to fulfill procurement requirements on time.
• Maintain records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement documents.
• Assist in negotiating prices, payment terms and delivery arrangements with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with requirements.
• Resolve procurement issues such as delays or discrepancies.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and budgets.
• Support procurement reports and cost comparisons for management review.
• Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.
