Job summary

MEP Enviro Technology Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Purchasing Assistant with 1–2 years' experience in a manufacturing setting. Fresh graduates are welcome, preferably with accounting or business background.

You will negotiate with suppliers, manage supplier selection, and analyze costs to secure favorable terms. Responsibilities include sourcing, negotiating the best packages (quality, price, terms, deliveries and services), processing purchase orders, and maintaining AVL/SEC while

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, preferably accounting or business background.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills with knowledge of supplier selection and cost analysis.
• Basic accounting system knowledge is a plus.
• Reading and writing Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing, selecting and negotiating best purchase packages (quality, price, terms, delivery, service).
• Prepare and process purchase orders and related documents per company policies.
• Set up procedures for procurement activities including sourcing, expediting and follow-up.
• Assist in setting up AVL and SEC, and arrange vendor contracts to secure best costs.
• Coordinate deliveries and maintain updated purchasing records and pricing.
• Train and motivate subordinates in the Purchasing section.
