MEP Enviro Technology Sdn Bhd invites applications for an Accounts and Purchasing Assistant/Executive. The role involves assisting in accounting and admin duties, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely procurement processes in a manufacturing environment.

Candidates typically hold SPM/STPM/Diploma or similar, with 1–2 years of purchasing experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome. Strong negotiation, communication, and basic cost analysis skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and process purchase orders and documents per policy.
• Assist in procurement activities: sourcing, expedite and follow-up.
• Set up AVL and SEC (supplier evaluation).
• Arrange vendor contracts and negotiate costs; schedule deliveries.
• Monitor deliveries to ensure on-time site/store arrival.
• Maintain updated purchasing records and pricing in system.
• Train and develop Purchasing staff.

Accounts and Purchasing Assistant/Executive

To assist in accounting and admin duties. Responsible for sourcing, selecting and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

Preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures

Assist to set up work procedures and functions of the department and implementation the whole process for procurement activities (Sourcing, expedite and follow up)

Assist to set-up AVL (Approved Vendor List) and SEC (Supplier Evaluation Committee)

Arrangement of vendor contracts, bargains for best costs, arranges delivery schedules and observes quality of purchased materials

Monitors and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time

Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system

Trains, develops and motivate all direct subordinates in the Purchasing section

Communication with subcontractors pertaining issues in Environmental & other tasks as specified in the Quality, Environmental or safety & Health management System.

Perform other related duties and ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior.

Job Requirement

SPM, STPM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification. Background in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.

Preferably 1–2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Good negotiation and communication skills, with knowledge of supplier sourcing, selection, and management.

Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, market pricing, and cost analysis.

Familiarity with accounting systems is an added advantage.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and supplier relationship management skills.
