Job summary

Projet Technology Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Purchasing Executive to join our procurement team at Batu Kawan, Penang. This full-time role focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services to support manufacturing and logistics operations.

You will manage supplier relationships, prepare purchase orders, track inventory, and ensure cost efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery while aligning with company policies. A diploma or degree and 2–3 years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or related field.
• 2–3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills and ability to build supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities with capability to handle multiple priorities.
• Solid understanding of purchasing procedures, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ethical procurement practices and integrity.
• Fluency in English; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for competitive pricing and quality.
• Prepare detailed purchase orders and manage procurement from requisition to delivery.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers for best value.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships for consistent service.
• Track inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast needs.
• Maintain purchasing records and documentation for audit and compliance.
• Resolve supplier issues and discrepancies; facilitate problem resolution.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production and finance to ensure smooth operations.
• Analyse spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
• Customer coordination: respond to inquiries on order status, delivery, and product availability.
• Coordinate internally with Sales, Warehouse, and Operations to meet customer requirements.
