Job summary

Flex is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Batu Kawan, Penang site and help drive manufacturing improvements. You will focus on cost, quality and delivery, working with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and implement new equipment transfers.

The role involves defining robust process parameters, applying SPC methods, and supporting technology transfer to production. A relevant bachelor’s degree and 4–5 years’ experience are typical requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires 4-5 years of relevant experience.
• Use of PCB-related tools and testing equipment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.
• Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Participate in daily production activities and effective problem solving.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Hold up and oversee new process equipment production.
• Establish robust, repeatable process parameters.
• Develop, implement and own process control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process related issues.
• Participate in cycle time and process improvements.
• Review processing methods and transfer to production.
