Job summary

Flex is seeking a Process Engineer based in Flex's PTP facility in Johor Bahru to join the engineering team. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and focuses on enhancing cost, quality and delivery through robust process capability and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will define, implement and evaluate manufacturability, troubleshoot issues, and lead the transfer of new processes and training to production staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.
• Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Participate in daily production activities and resolve daily issues.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Oversee new process equipment production and ECO introductions.
• Establish robust, repeatable process parameters and control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process related issues and drive cycle time improvements.
• Evaluate and select engineered materials and perform process documentation updates.
• Interface with production for new process implementation and transfer.
