Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Penang (Bukit Minyak) is seeking a Process Engineer to drive cost, quality and delivery improvements in our manufacturing operations. The role involves understanding processes, defining manufacturable designs, and leading changes with cross-functional teams.

You will contribute to capital equipment justification, process control development, ECO introductions, and training for production staff.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.
• Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Participate in daily production activities and problem solving.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Oversee new process equipment production and ECO introductions.
• Establish robust, repeatable process parameters and control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and improve cycle time and throughput.
• Provide training to production personnel on new technology transfer.
