Job summary

Flex is seeking a Process Engineering Manager in Batu Kawan, Penang to lead a team of engineers and technicians in establishing statistical process control and driving process improvements. You will develop documentation, manage projects to meet customer specs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design manufacturable products.

The role emphasizes cost optimization, throughput improvements, and building a qualified, motivated workforce within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Typically requires minimum 8 years of process engineering and prior managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish and maintain statistical process control systems.
• Establish and improve process capabilities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Manage development projects that meet customer product specifications, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Work with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
• Improve throughput in constrained areas.
• Develop, test, and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost and manage cost reduction efforts in assigned process areas.
• Partner with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
• Coordinate initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
