SCHOTT Glass (M) Sdn Bhd seeks an NPI Process Engineer to drive new process transfers, integrate innovations into production, and train teams for new implementations.

You will develop process concepts, prepare specifications for new machines, and manage timelines and costs while collaborating with suppliers and internal departments to ensure seamless production readiness and quality.

Qualificações

• Degree in mechanical, material, or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in engineering or manufacturing within semiconductor or optical industry.
• Project management knowledge.
• Statistical analysis (DOE/MSA/SPC/Gr&R).
• GD&T.
• Mechanical drawing.
• CNC machining knowledge of functioning, operating, and setting.
• CAD and CAM.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Communication, time management, conflict management and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop process and production concepts for improvement of existing processes, implementation of new processes or new products, and execute process and production line optimizations.
• Prepare requirement and performance specifications for machines and devices for production of new products in cooperation with internal and external authorities.
• Prepare cost and time schedules and monitor their compliance.
• Identify necessary production processes and capacities, and agree upon technical requirements for production lines.
• Support development department in dimensioning of new products and production processes to ensure optimized serial production.
• Plan, coordinate, and control production tests and putting into service of new production lines and processes.
• Prepare engineering data files such as manufacturing instructions, manuals, and process plans.
• Participate in purchasing negotiations with suppliers and evaluate performance of external service providers.
• Oversee different initiatives or projects, monitor their progress and completion, and ensure they meet expectations in terms of cost, time, and quality.
• Coordinate development of user manuals, training materials, and documentation needed for successful implementation.

The NPI Process Engineer is responsible for new process transfer, providing solutions for challenges arising from customer and production needs, integrating new processes into production, and conducting training for new implementations.

Key responsibilities

Develop process and production concepts for improvement of existing processes, implementation of new processes or new products, and execute process and production line optimizations

Prepare requirement and performance specifications for machines and devices for production of new products in cooperation with internal and external authorities

Prepare cost and time schedules and monitor their compliance

About you
