Job summary

SCHOTT Glass (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Process Engineer (Single Side Processes) to lead ultrasonic and plasma cleaning activities, ensuring contamination control and surface cleanliness for high-precision components. You will standardize processes, monitor key parameters, and drive reliability improvements across production lines.

You will design, validate and oversee cleaning processes, analyze data, and implement CAPAs to address deviations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science or related field.
• 5 years in process engineering with at least 2 years in optical-, semiconductor-, or precision manufacturing.
• Fluent in English and Malay; proficient with MS Project and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead ultrasonic cleaning process design, validation, and optimization across production lines.
• Define and optimize critical process parameters for single side processes.
• Implement and maintain process control systems to monitor production parameters and ensure consistent output.
• Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Conduct root cause analysis for surface-related defects and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement CAPAs to address deviations and improve quality.

Job description

The Senior Process Engineer for Single Side Processes will lead the monitoring, optimization, and standardization of all ultrasonic and plasma cleaning processes across production lines. This role ensures contamination control and surface cleanliness for high-precision components, driving process reliability and compliance with stringent industry standards.

Your Tasks

• Design, validate and oversee ultrasonic cleaning processes for various substrates and segments
• Define, monitor and optimize critical parameters
• Implement and maintain process control systems to monitor production parameters and ensure consistent output
• Analyze process data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
• Conduct root cause analysis for surface related defects and implement corrective actions
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address deviations
• Perform regular maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment and Metrology Tools
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials for operators and technicians
• Train and mentor junior engineers on continuous improvement methodologies using TWI Job Instructions

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• 5 years in process engineering with at least 2 years in Optical- or Semiconductor- or other precision manufacturing
• Good command of the English language, MS Project, MS Office
• Familiarity with Single Side Processes, Optical Industry, CNC Processes
• Fluency in English and Malay Languages
• CNC Programming
• Proficiency in SPC, DOE, FMEA
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage complex projects
• Target driven personality with high execution focus
• Strong knowledge of process control systems, deviation management, and continuous improvement methodologies
