Job summary

Jora Malaysia aims to enhance production processes to maximize yield and productivity, and to perform UPH and capacity utilization studies. The role involves providing engineering solutions through root cause analysis, FMEA, and corrective actions while coordinating project transfers and first article builds.

The engineer will maintain quality systems, BOMs, and work instructions, ensuring conformance to ISO9001/13485/AS9100 and ISO45001, and will be willing to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing and process improvements is preferred.
• Knowledge of quality tools and standards (FMEA, Lean, QC tools) is advantageous.
• Experience with ISO9001/13485/AS9100 and ISO45001 is a plus.
• Prior exposure to cable/fiber optic assembly is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve production processes to achieve optimum performances in terms of yield and productivity.

Perform UPH and capacity utilization studies.

Provide engineering solutions to process issues through root cause analysis, FMEA and implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions.

Coordinate project transfer, inclusive of planning for first article builds, transfer / procuring of equipment, tooling, template and fixtures.

Key person for quality and technical issues and manage all the internal, customer complaints and feedback on a timely manner.

To ensure products conform to customer specifications and requirements.

To maintain Engineering procedures, Bill of Materials and Work Instructions.

Maintain the department’s quality system as well as develop new systems to meet the quality objectives of the organization.

Ensure the department conforms to the ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100, ISO45001.

Requirements:

• Possess a degree background in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Knowledge in process or maintenance engineering will be preferred.
• Knowledge in FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, 7 QC tools and etc. will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in 6 Sigma, ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100 and ISO45001 will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in cable assembly and fiber optic assembly will be added advantage.
• Mature, aggressive, hardworking, self-motivated, with a sense of urgency.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Disciplined and dynamic team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong inclination towards working on a project by project basis.
• Willing to travel.
• At least 1 - 2 year of experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Mandarin speaking will be an added advantage.
