The Process Engineer II is responsible for providing engineering support to Thermal manufacturing operations through process optimization, troubleshooting, process validation, and continuous improvement activities. The role supports manufacturing performance by ensuring process stability, product quality, productivity improvement, and successful execution of engineering projects.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to Thermal manufacturing operations
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor process performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Analyze process performance data and identify improvement opportunities
- Support yield, productivity, and quality improvement projects
- Develop and maintain SOPs, process specifications, PFMEA, etc.
- Support process qualification and validation activities
- Support APQP execution and new product introduction activities
- Participate in Lean Six Sigma projects and productivity initiatives
- Train operators, production supervisors and technicians on process requirements and best practices
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, process development, or manufacturing operations
- Working knowledge of process engineering, process validation, and manufacturing process control
- Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles
- Well versed in IATF16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork capability
- Ability to manage multiple engineering assignments and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication in Mandarin & English (need to work closely with Division staffs in China)
