Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize and continuously improve cable manufacturing processes. The role ensures efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

You will support production, troubleshoot issues, and implement lean manufacturing principles to boost productivity and reduce waste. Responsibilities include process optimization, SOP creation, downtime guidance, and coaching of junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical, process, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Process optimization and improvement.
• Provide immediate technical guidance during production downtime to get lines moving quickly.
• Create and update Standard Operating Procedures for operators.
• Coordinate procurement of dies or molds for new product specifications.
• Coach junior engineers and technicians to recognize process deviation signs.
• Conduct technical workshops for supervisors and operators on new machinery or techniques.
• Ensure all processes comply with health and safety regulations.

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing, and continuously improving the cable manufacturing processes. The role ensures that all processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality and safety standards. The Process Engineer plays a critical part in supporting production, troubleshooting issues, and implementing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization and Improvement
• Providing immediate technical guidance during production downtime to get the lines moving as quickly as possible
• Creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures that are easy for operators to follow.
• Coordinating the procurement of specialized dies or molds needed for new product specifications.
• Coaching junior engineers and technicians to recognize the "warning signs" of process deviation.
• Conducting technical workshops for supervisors and operators on new machinery or updated techniques.
• Ensure all processes comply with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in mechanical, process or manufacturing engineering is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability work effectively in a team-oriented, fast paced production environment.
