Job summary

FD Precision Technology Sdn Bhd in Sungai Petani, Kedah, is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes for plastic injection moulding and assembly. You will support ISO 9001:2015, VDA 6.3, and IATF 16949 compliance while driving process stability and efficiency.

The role requires a degree in engineering and 2+ years in a related field; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related field is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop, establish, and optimize injection moulding process parameters to ensure consistent product quality and production efficiency.
• Conduct mould trials, process validation, troubleshooting, and first-piece approval for new and existing products.
• Investigate process-related defects and implement corrective actions to reduce rejection and rework.
• Maintain process parameters, work instructions, process flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, and relevant engineering documentation.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), tooling qualification, and engineering changes.
• Participate in the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO 9001:2015, VDA 6.3, and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Support internal and external audits, process audits, corrective actions, and closure of audit findings.
• Work closely with QA, Production, and Maintenance to resolve manufacturing issues and improve process performance.
• Monitor cycle time, scrap rate, and process efficiency, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper control of raw materials, drying conditions, and material handling to prevent contamination and product defects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our engineering team in Sungai Petani, Kedah on a full-time basis.

1. Job Purpose

To develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes for plastic injection moulding and assembly operations, ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and process stability, while supporting the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015, VDA 6.3, and IATF 16949 requirements.

What we're looking for

Minimum Degree in Engineering or a related field.

At least 2 years of working experience in a related field will be an advantage.

Good knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving.

Proficient in MS Office.

Good communication, teamwork and analytical skills.

Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
