Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Engineer (High Precision/Manufacturing) to prepare pricing proposals, respond to customer requirements, and generate new business leads. You will coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement and Quality teams to ensure smooth order execution and address technical or delivery issues.

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Marketing or related field is required; strong communication and ability to read

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Marketing or related field.
• Experience in precision engineering, manufacturing or a related industry will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding or interest in mechanical engineering, machining and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfortable reading engineering drawings and interpreting technical information; training will be provided where required.
• Self-motivated, organised and able to manage several assignments concurrently.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to accuracy.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pricing proposals and respond to customer requirements in a timely manner.
• Generate new business leads while managing and expanding existing accounts.
• Maintain regular contact with customers and provide appropriate follow-up on ongoing enquiries.
• Facilitate communication between customers and relevant internal functions to support smooth order execution.
• Monitor customer requests related to orders, technical matters, delivery and product quality.
• Liaise with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement and Quality teams to address issues and meet customer expectations.
• Follow up on projects and orders from initial enquiry until completion.
• Evaluate and liaise with local vendors when external sourcing is required.
• Keep sales information up to date and provide management with regular business updates.
