Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Manager – Application & Data Security to design and present security solutions for IT distribution customers in Southeast Asia. You will develop proposals, BOMs, and high-level designs while leading PoCs and RFx responses.

The role requires 5+ years of IT presales experience, strong knowledge of application and data security (Data Protection, WAF, XDR, IAM), and the ability to translate technical features into business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT presales with focus on application and data security.
• Experience designing proposals, BOMs and High-Level Designs (HLDs).
• Proven ability to demonstrate products, run PoCs and respond to RFx for security solutions.
• Strong business acumen to align solutions with budgets, ROI, and licensing models.
• Collaborative, proactive, and able to own presales cycles with minimal supervision.

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Manager - Application & Data Security to design and present security solutions that meet client needs and industry standards within the IT distribution sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth expertise in the assigned application and data security product portfolio.
• Design technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and High-Level Designs (HLDs) tailored to customer requirements.
• Conduct requirement analysis and align solutions with customer budgets, timelines, and technical constraints.
• Collaborate closely with principal/vendor Sales Engineers to ensure accurate product messaging and positioning.
• Deliver product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations to clients, translating technical features into business benefits.
• Lead Proofs of Concept (PoCs), including scope definition, success criteria, and overseeing implementation.
• Respond to RFx and tender submissions, ensuring technical compliance and solution feasibility.
• Provide training and enablement sessions for resellers, partners, and internal teams on product offerings.
• Analyse competitor solutions and provide insights to differentiate offerings in the market.

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT presales role.
• Experience in IT presales with exposure to application and data security (Data Protection, WAF, XDR, IAM).
• Experience designing technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and High-Level Designs (HLDs).
• Proven track record in conducting product demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and responding to RFx for security solutions.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align solutions with customer budgets, ROI, and vendor licensing models.
• Collaborative team player, able to work seamlessly with sales, delivery, and partners.
• Independent and proactive, able to own presales cycles with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-have

• Hands-on experience with security solution PoC tools such as CyberArk, IBM Guardium, or McAfee DLP.
• Vendor certifications in application or data security solutions, such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Imperva, or Symantec.
• Familiarity with IT distribution sector sales cycles and partner enablement programmes.
