Job summary

Businesslist in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Pre-Sales Manager – Application & Data Security to drive technical pre-sales activities, from solution design and PoCs to client engagements and training. You will collaborate with Sales Engineers, ensure ROI alignment, and manage end-to-end PoC execution in a dynamic IT security environment.

The role requires at least 7+ years in IT presales, strong presentation skills and the ability to translate technical features into business value for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Vendor certifications are a plus.
• 7+ years’ experience in IT presales, including design of proposals, BoMs and HLDs.
• Ability to align solutions with budgets, ROI and licensing models.
• Independent and proactive, capable of leading presales cycles.
• Quick learner with ability to master new products.
• Team player, collaborating with sales, delivery and partners.
• Highly motivated to exceed targets and grow expertise.

Responsibilities

• Product Expertise & Certification: Acquire in-depth knowledge of the assigned product portfolio and maintain vendor certifications.
• Solution Design & Proposal Development: Analyze customer environments, prepare technical proposals, high-level designs (HLD) and BOMs, customize responses ensuring technical compliance.
• Principal Collaboration: Maintain relationships with principal/vendor Sales Engineers to ensure accurate product messaging and alignment with customer needs.
• Client Engagement & Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and tailored presentations, translating technical features into business benefits.
• Proof of Concept (PoC) & Technical Validation: Own end-to-end PoC scope, test plans, and oversee implementation.
• Training & Enablement: Conduct training sessions for resellers, partners and internal teams.
• Market & Competitive Intelligence: Analyze competitor solutions and differentiate offerings with data-driven insights.
