Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Manager – Application & Data Security to serve as the technical bridge between sales, customers, and delivery teams, ensuring tailored solutions that meet client needs and align with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in assigned application and data security product portfolios.
• Design technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and High-Level Designs (HLDs) for IT security solutions.
• Conduct requirements analysis and prepare tailored responses for RFPs, RFIs, and tender submissions.
• Collaborate closely with principal/vendor Sales Engineers to ensure accurate product positioning and solution alignment.
• Lead client engagements, including product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations, translating technical features into business value.
• Own and execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs), defining scope, success criteria, and ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
• Deliver training sessions for resellers, partners, and internal teams on product offerings and best practices.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Mandarin/Chinese-speaking proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin/Chinese-speaking customers, partners, and principals in a professional business and technical environment.
• 7+ years’ experience in IT pre-sales.
• Experience designing technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and High-Level Designs (HLDs) for IT security solutions.
• Experience conducting product demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and RFx (RFP/RFI) responses for security deals.
• Ability to align solutions with customer budgets, ROI, and vendor licensing models.
• Ability to own pre-sales cycles independently and proactively with minimal supervision.
• Aptitude to rapidly master new products and solutions.
• Ability to work seamlessly with sales, delivery, and partner teams.
• Highly motivated and driven to exceed targets and grow expertise.

Nice-to-have:

• Vendor certifications in application or data security solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Symantec, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with security solution platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or Symantec.
• Familiarity with IT distribution channel sales models or experience working with resellers and partners.
