Job summary

LinkAxia Networks is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Manager – Application & Data Security to serve as the technical bridge between sales teams, customers, and delivery partners, ensuring tailored and competitive security solutions.

Based in Malaysia, you will design technical proposals, BOMs, and High-Level Designs, conduct PoCs, respond to RFx, and align solutions with budgets and licensing models while staying abreast of evolving data protection trends and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ IT pre-sales experience.
• Proven ability to design technical proposals, BOMs, and HLDs.
• Experience conducting product demos, PoCs, and RFx responses.

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Manager – Application & Data Security to serve as the technical bridge between sales teams, customers, and delivery partners, ensuring tailored and competitive security solutions aligned with industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and High-Level Designs (HLDs) for IT security solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and respond to RFx (RFP/RFI) for security solutions.
• Align technical solutions with customer budgets, ROI objectives, and vendor licensing models.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of application and data security products, as well as industry trends.
• Independently manage and own pre-sales cycles with minimal supervision.
• Engage clients through presentations, workshops, and technical training sessions for customers and partners.
• Analyse competitor solutions and differentiate offerings using data-driven insights.
• Collaborate effectively with sales, delivery, and partner teams to ensure seamless solution delivery.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in IT pre-sales.
• Proven experience designing technical proposals, BOMs, and HLDs for IT solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct product demonstrations, PoCs, and RFx responses for security solutions.
• Ability to align technical solutions with customer budgets, ROI, and vendor licensing models.
• Strong knowledge of application and data security products and industry trends.
• Ability to independently manage pre-sales cycles with minimal supervision.
• Excellent client engagement skills, including delivering presentations, workshops, and technical training.
• Competence in analysing competitor solutions and differentiating offerings with data-driven insights.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, delivery, and partner teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Vendor certifications in application or data security solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Symantec, or similar).
• Experience with cloud security platforms such as AWS Security, Azure Security Center, or Google Cloud Security.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as PDPA, GDPR, or similar compliance frameworks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
