Job summary

Schneider Electric Industries (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru seeks a Service Engineer (Power System) on a 1-year contract. You will support serviceable Schneider equipment including switchgear, relays, PLCs, HMIs, and networking in ENMCS/IMCS environments, while documenting parts and aiding start-ups.

You will troubleshoot protection relays and power-system products, with ENMCS/IMCS knowledge considered an advantage. The role requires 90% onsite work and readiness to base in Johor Bahru.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering with at least 3 years in onsite services.
• Experience troubleshooting protection relays, switchgears, and power system products (low/medium voltage, transformers 33kV).
• Knowledge of ENMCS & IMCS systems is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI & SCADA is an added advantage.
• Able to communicate in local dialects and to work 90% onsite.
• Based in Johor Bahru; willing to be on a 1-year direct contract (subject to renewal).

Responsibilities

• Support Schneider equipment including switchgear, protection relays, PLCs, HMIs, Gateway, Servers, and Networking in ENMCS & IMCS environment
• Document, label, and return defective parts used in repair to designated disposal/repair locations
• Develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems arising during start-up
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades to meet customer needs
• Assist Schneider Service Partners in site visits and evaluate technical performance
• Look for other business opportunities at customer sites and refer them to the sales team
• Provide technical support level 2 and escalate to higher levels when needed
• Investigate remotely the origin of breakdowns and submit fixes
• Support Consulting Expert, Project Engineer and IoT Integration in delivery and performance
