Job summary

Schneider Electric Industries (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Service Engineer in Malaysia to impact customer sites with electrical switchgear, protection relays, PLCs, HMIs and networking in ENMCS/IMCS environments. The role requires strong onsite presence and hands-on troubleshooting in a dynamic field service setting.

You will document parts, implement startup solutions, and advise on upgrades while collaborating with service partners and sales teams to explore new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering.
• At least 3 years in services onsite environment.
• Experience troubleshooting protection relays, switchgears, and power system products (low/medium voltage, transformers 33kV).
• Project implementation, testing & commissioning experience is a must.
• ENMCS & IMCS system knowledge is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI & SCADA is an added advantage.
• Able to communicate in local dialects.
• Able to work 90% time onsite.

Responsibilities

• Support serviceable Schneider Electric equipment including electrical switchgear, protection relays, PLCs, HMIs, Gateway, Servers, Networking in ENMCS & IMCS environments.
• Document and return defective parts used in repairs to designated disposal/repair location.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems arising during start-up.
• Research and recommend product upgrades to meet customer needs.
• Assist Schneider Electric Service Partners during site visits and evaluations.
• Identify new business opportunities on-site and direct them to the sales team.
• Provide technical support level 2 and escalate as needed.
• Investigate remotely the origin of breakdowns and submit fixes.
• Support Consulting Expert, Project Engineer and IoT integration in delivery and performance.
