Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Service Engineer based in Johor to support Schneider equipment across ENMCS & IMCS environments. You will assist on-site during start-up, document parts, and develop innovative technical solutions while identifying new opportunities.

The role requires a degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering with at least 3 years in onsite services, plus experience with protection relays, switchgear, and 33kV power systems. Onsite 90% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering with at least 3 years in services onsite environment.
• Experience troubleshooting protection relays, switchgears and power system products up to 33kV.
• Experience in project implementation, testing & commissioning is a must.
• ENMCS & IMCS system knowledge is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI & SCADA is an added advantage.
• Able to communicate in local dialects.
• Able to work 90% time onsite.

Responsibilities

• Support serviceable Schneider equipment including electrical switchgear, protection relays, PLCs, HMIs, Gateway, Servers, Communication, Networking in ENMCS & IMCS environment.
• Properly document, label, and return all defective parts utilized in the repair of equipment to the designated disposal/repair location.
• Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start-up.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs.
• Assist Schneider Electric Service Partners in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance.
• Identify additional business opportunities at customer sites and refer to the sales team.
• Act as Technical support level 2 to resolve issues raised by other field service reps.
• Escalate to higher technical support levels when needed.
• Investigate remotely the origin of breakdowns and submit fixes when possible.
• Support Consulting Expert, Project Engineer and IOT Integration Digital Execution in all business and operational issues.

Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start-up.

Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs.

Assist Schneider Electric Service Partners in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance.

When at customer site, look for other business opportunities outside current scope of work and lead them to the sales team

As Technical support level 2, solve technical issues arise by other field service rep

Escalate to other technical support level within the company when needed

Can investigate remotely the origin of the breakdown and submit fixes (in a service bureau for example)

Support Consulting Expert, Project Engineer and IOT Integration Digital Execution in all business and operational issues to ensure perfect Business Delivery and Performance.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering with at least 3 years in services onsite environment.

Possess experience to troubleshoot protection relays, switchgears and power system products like low and medium voltage, transformers 33kV

Possess project implementation, testing & commissioning experience is a must

ENMCS & IMCS system knowledge is an added advantage

Knowledge in PLC,HMI & SCADA knowledge is an added advantage.

Able to communicate in the local dialects.

Able to work 90% time onsite.
