Job summary

Service Engineer role with Eaton's Electrical business in Malaysia, Selangor, Subang Jaya. You will install, test, and commission electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and handle on-site repairs for UPS, switchgear, RMU, and ACB products.

24x7 stand-by support is required on a rotational schedule. Requires a Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering with 3+ years of field service or testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic or similar Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of field service or testing experience with electrical equipment such as UPS, switchgear, transformers, RMU or ACB.
• Candidates with 1-3 years of relevant experience may be considered at the lower end of the band.
• Ability to assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and appliances.
• Reads and interprets diagrams of transformers, switchgear, UPS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission electrical systems and power quality equipment at client locations.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems to identify and address potential issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical system failures or malfunctions, and define a work plan to rectify or repair.
• Perform onsite equipment repairs, modifications and engineering change upgrades during a breakdown or warranty claim.
• Be available for 24x7 on-call support through a rotational duty schedule.
