Job summary

Eaton Corporation, based in Malaysia, Selangor, is seeking a Service Engineer to install, test and commission electrical systems and power quality equipment at client sites. The role requires hands-on field service, fault diagnosis and a willingness to join a 24x7 on-call rotation.

You will handle preventive maintenance, on-site repairs, and collaborate with design, sales and product teams to drive service quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic or related Engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years of field service or testing experience with UPS, switchgear, transformers, RMU or ACB.
• Ability to assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment.
• Reads and interprets diagrams of transformers, switchgear, UPS.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission electrical systems and power quality equipment at client sites.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot failures and define a work plan to repair.
• Perform onsite repairs, modifications and upgrades during breakdowns or warranty claims.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support through a rotational schedule.
• Maintain tooling and records; communicate with design teams to resolve issues.
• Act as single point of contact for service contracts and coordinate with sales.
• Deliver customer-focused service and ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare logs and reports of work performed and maintain workflow documents.
