Job summary
Schneider Electric in Malaysia invites a Service Engineer to impact field service for electrical switchgear, protection relays, PLCs and HMIs. You will work predominantly onsite, troubleshoot power systems, and support service partners on site visits.
The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering with 3+ years in field service, plus PLC/HMI/SCADA knowledge and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering.
- Experience troubleshooting protection relays, switchgears and power system products (low/medium voltage, 33kV transformers).
- Project implementation, testing & commissioning experience required.
- ENMCS & IMCS knowledge is a plus.
- PLC, HMI & SCADA knowledge is a plus.
- Strong communication & writing skills are essential.
- Able to communicate in local dialects.
- Willing to work 90% on-site.
Responsibilities
- Support Schneider equipment including electrical switchgear, protection relays, PLCs, HMIs, gateways, servers and networking in ENMCS & IMCS environments.
- Document and label defective parts for disposal/repair.
- Develop solutions to complex technical problems during start-up.
- Research and recommend product upgrades to meet customer needs.
- Assist Service Partners on site visits and assess technical performance.
- Identify new business opportunities at customer sites and guide to sales.
