Job summary

Siemens Energy Malaysia seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site support for high voltage transmission equipment within Grid Technologies. You will supervise installations, perform commissioning, maintenance, and repairs, and mentor junior engineers.

You will work with local and regional teams, communicate in English and Mandarin, travel regionally, and uphold quality and HSE standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Electrical degree or equivalent with 4+ years in field service engineering in HV transmission.
• Hands-on installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair experience.
• Knowledge of HV equipment: transformers, AIS & GIS, breakers and control systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment used in HV transmission.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work in demanding field environments.
• Excellent communication across organizational levels; willingness to travel locally and regionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide field advice and supervision for HV installations, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HV equipment; support customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Sales/PM; feedback product improvements.
• Maintain service reports, logs, and device records.
• Represent Siemens Energy on site; coordinate scope and sign-off; mentor juniors.
• Deliver work in line with quality and HSE standards.
