Job summary

Executive Compass is seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to oversee SAP-based planning, scheduling and output management in a manufacturing setup in Kedah, Malaysia. The role requires strong leadership to coordinate across SCM, production and related departments for on-time delivery and CSR targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; MBA preferred.
• 12–15 years of planning experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in related industry preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and set up SAP system for production planning and controlling.
• Coordinate with Group SCM, BU OH, and Production for loading/shipment/output management.
• Optimize WIP distribution and capacity utilization across stations.
• Lead annual WIP physical inventory with related departments.
• Drive continuous improvement of lead time, capacity and SAP-related processes.
• Communicate policy and ensure staff readiness for ramp-up.

* Experience managing overall planning department (include material, production or demand)

Responsibilities

• Develop and set up SAP system for production planning and controlling functions.
• Develop and set up shopfloor dispatching and scheduling system.
• Communicate and coordinate with Group SCM, BU OH, and Production for loading/shipment/output management.
• Establish production planning and controlling in the plant in order to fulfil CSR targets for both sample and mass production orders as defined.
• Optimize WIP distribution of production orders to each production processes.
• Provide the production planning to all production departments in order to achieve the output targets at each station as defined.
• Make short & long term capacity & material planning, foresee potential constraints & provide basis for new investment decision making.
• Maintain the capacity data up to date for forecast planning.
• Optimize capacity utilization in each station and set output target of each station and evaluate their performance.
• Set production priority and evaluate the priority follow up status.
• Maximize the order loading by utilizing the bottle neck processes in the most optimized way.
• Seek for alternatives actively with production department involvement on the bottle neck processes in order to maximize the output/loading.
• Anticipate on, and recognize and take action for events/situations that could adversely affect production efficiencies.
• Lead the annual WIP physical inventory with related departments.
• Lead or actively participate into the projects for continuous improvement of lead time, capacity and SAP related.
• Demonstrate positive two-way communications, fair and consistent administration of company policy and procedure, responsiveness to employee concerns and problems.
• Achieve the staff qualification rate as defined.
• Ensure no impact on the production ramp-up due to production planning control and staff readiness.
• Achieve the departmental goals as set with the superior.
• Lead or actively participate in to continuous improvement of shopfloor dispatching and scheduling system

Requirement

• Bachelor Degree, MBA is preferred
• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Planning experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
• Experience in related industry preferred.
• Minimum 3 year in a Managerial role
