Job summary

Inventec Appliances (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Production Planning professional to manage production schedules, labor planning, and material coordination to ensure on-time delivery and smooth production flow.

The role includes planning based on orders and forecasts, SAP operations, WIP monitoring, and cross‑department coordination. Fluency in Mandarin and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent/Diploma.
• Strong MS Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP (training will be provided).
• Fluent in Mandarin speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan production schedules based on customer orders and forecast.
• Conduct manpower planning for Direct and Indirect Labor to meet production targets.
• Review daily loading and reschedule as needed to maintain flow.
• Monitor production performance to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track WIP and inventory levels to support production.

Production Planning role responsible for managing production schedules, labor planning, and material coordination to ensure on-time delivery and smooth production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Plan production schedules based on customer orders and forecast
• Conduct Direct Labor and Indirect Labor manpower planning to reach production requirements
• Review daily loading and reschedule if necessary
• Monitor and follow up closely on production performance to ensure on-time delivery
• Monitor WIP accuracy and WIP level of the plant
• Arrange rework production orders due to quality related issues
• Issue Material Order (MO) in SAP system and download shortage report daily
• Work with SCM to understand shortage fulfilment dates and assist in resolution or reschedule production when applicable
• Coordinate with other departments on related issues to ensure smooth flow of production
• Daily tracking on the production material inventory to ensure production process is in place
• Ensure that the equivalent or alternate material are available when there is a shortage in required material
• Arrange product shipment by issuing Delivery Notice in SAP system
• Additional duties as assigned by the management from time to time

About you

• Bachelor or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent/Diploma
• Good knowledge in MS Office application especially Excel
• Possess knowledge of SAP (Training will be given)
• Fluent in Mandarin speaking and writing
• Ability to work independently or as a team member
• Possess very good and effective communication skills with all levels within the organization
• Having sense of urgency and able to work extra hours when needed
• Well organized, detailed-oriented and able to work independently under pressure
