Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to oversee planning functions for products sourced or manufactured in Malaysia. You will provide planning and technical support to Team Leaders and Sales staff on production control, lead times and stock availability.

The role focuses on improving MRP accuracy and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has a Diploma or higher, 4+ years with SAP or similar planning systems, and experience in capacity planning, cost estimation, and supplier

Qualifications

• Diploma education or higher.
• 4+ years' experience with computerized planning systems such as SAP.
• Experience in capacity planning and production control.
• Cost estimating experience.
• Negotiating supplier/sub-contractor terms.

Responsibilities

• Create Bills of Materials, Process Routings and Work Orders.
• Supplier and sub-contractor selection and commercial negotiation.
• Plan production Work Orders to meet customer due dates.
• Maintain and improve accuracy of the MRP planning system.
• Monitor workload and liaise with Team Leaders to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate and supervise sub-contract work as required.
• Coordinate customer priorities with Team Leaders on deliveries.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Search for lower cost alternative suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Prepare lead time reports for sales when requested.
